What is the difference between the “Essentials” collection and the “Originals” collection?

Our “Originals” collection is products that we have designed ourselves. They’re one of a kind, unique Ukiyohi products, designed by us and sold by us. We fully recognize that there are other amazing and unique craftsmen out there who are also creating products that spark joy, so that’s where our “Essentials” collection comes in. We partner with other artists to sell their products on our site.

6. After use, ensure the pipe is fully extinguished before returning it into the dugout bowl side up to prevent any ash or residue from falling into the pipe compartment.

How do you use the wood dugout?

2. Locate the one-hitter pipe and remove it by pulling it out from the compartment.
3. Press the end of the one-hitter into the flower compartment, twisting slightly to fill.
4. Ignite the filled end while taking a gentle inhale.

I'm about to light my candle for the first time. Anything I should know?

Before the first burn, there should be sort of an initiation ritual. Here are some things to note for an optimal experience:

1. Prep the wick: Before you light up, give the wick a slight trim down to about 1/8"-3/16". This will provide the perfect first burn.
2. Slow-burning Cherry: Keep your candle lit for approximately 2-3 hours on the first go. This will ensure the wax meets the edge of the container, optimizing scent throw and setting the stage for future use.
3. Location is everything: Make sure the candle sits on a heat-resistant surface away from things like vents or drafts. Vibes will be chill, and the burn will be safe.

How can I repurpose my candle container?

1. Get rid of any remaining wax by placing your container in the freezer for a few hours. Once the wax hardens, use a butter knife to gently pop it out.
2. Soak the container in warm soapy water to loosen any residual wax and wick glue. A little scrubbing will make it sparkling clean.
3. Give your container a final rinse and dry it thoroughly.
4. Your Ukiyohi container is now ready for its next life. We think it would be cool as a plant pot, a stash jar etc.

That To-Go Cup is dope, but how do I use it?

1. Remove the cup lid and fill the cup with water ½-⅔ full.
2. Replace the cup lid and pull up the straw piece. Remove the hidden ceramic bowl by pulling up the tab on the edge of the lid.
3. Fill the ceramic bowl up with flower, and place it back into the lid hole.
4. You’re ready to light! Light the bowl while gently inhaling through the straw piece.

How can I keep my wood grinder looking good and working its best?

As wood is very porous, be sure to be cautious of what you’re applying to it. It might absorb some of the additional moisture or cleaner that’s being applied. Remember - do not use soap or any other kind of chemical on a wooden grinder!

1. Loosen up and remove as much residue as you can. You can use a lightly dampened cloth, or a soft brush like a toothbrush or a small paint brush to do this without damaging the wood.
2. For extra protection, you can rub non-aromatic food grade oil onto the wooden surface. Dip a clean cloth into a small amount of oil and apply it gently. This not only makes the wood look glossy and smooth, but it also helps stop the sticky residue from building up.

Make sure to keep it clean as much as possible. Sticky residue can be left behind that could cause your grinder to stick together.

How do you disassemble the Cob Pipe?

The pipe will come pre-assembled and ready to use. When you are ready to disassemble and clean out the pipe, here’s what you need to know:

1. Gently twist the threaded pipe section in a counterclockwise motion to detach it from the primary bowl.
2. Invert the main bowl to reveal a threaded hole. Twist the threaded pipe clockwise into the threaded hole at the base of the main bowl to fully remove it.
3. Once removed, you are ready to clear away any excess flower and give the components a wipe down.
4. To reassemble your pipe, simply reverse the steps above: reattach the threaded pipe by twisting it counterclockwise into the main bowl's threaded bottom and then twist the pipe clockwise back into its original position.

How do I clean brass?

To Clean: Use a soft cloth or brush and warm, soapy water to clean the brass gently.
To Deep Clean: We recommend not using any chemical cleaners on the pipe. You can mix one teaspoon of salt into a 1/2 cup of vinegar. Add flour until the liquid becomes a paste and spread over the brass. Let the mixture sit for up to an hour then rinse and buff the pipe.

To Remove Corrosion: Mix white vinegar and salt into a paste. Apply the paste directly onto the corroded area and let it sit for 15 minutes before removing with a cloth.
*Note that the brass will develop a slightly darker “patina” over time as it oxidizes.
